It all begins with an idea.

Tammy and Charles met in 2019 at the US based Jewelry Industry Summit, an initiative bringing like-minded individuals and organizations together to help promote a sustainable and responsible industry. Connecting with their shared passion for creating opportunity and change within the gem and jewelry industry, in January 2022 they began to work together and Treasured International as we know it was born. There is a driving ethos behind Treasured built on driving change, creating more equality along the supplychain and bringing education to where it is needed. Treasured is proud to be working towards the following goals:

  1. To help solve environmental and humanitarian issues related to the gem and jewelry supply chain. 

  2. To provide education and resources to the jewelry industry, driving change for a more sustainable and responsible industry.

  3. To create awareness which will empower the general public to act as agents of change.

  4. To create a collaborative network to find solutions to advance sustainability and responsible sourcing.

  5. To create a means to push industry transparency and measure and showcase the positive impact of the jewelry trade.

Goal #1: To help solve environmental and humanitarian issues related to the gem and jewelry supply chain.

This goal will be achieved through the facilitation of mission based projects aimed at creating a more responsible and sustainable industry. Treasured will act on this goal in three ways:

  • Create and complete projects developed in-house.

  • Assist and fund external projects that require significant support to achieve success.

  • Provide support through promotion and awareness for established/already well funded projects. 

Collaboration is key to creating the greatest impact and there is a need to create stronger and longer lasting partnerships within the trade.

Goal #2: To provide education and resources to the gem and jewelry industry, driving change towards sustainability and conscious commerce. 

Treasured will create an online knowledge hub that will include the following:

  • A growing library of educational and informational videos with a focus on creating engaging content that best suits today’s modern viewers.

  • A bridge from academia, making in depth industry information more accessible through the creation of regular newsletters and articles/blog content.

  • A platform for online courses.

  • A catalog of past and present industry projects allowing interested parties to connect with, research and learn from case studies.

Goal #3: To create awareness which will empower the general public to act as agents of change. 

The Treasured team has a strong background in content creation and will have a large focus on producing engaging content that will showcase the level of impact that the gem and jewelry industry is capable of making. Consumers will realize the added value of a sustainable and responsible jewelry product, and be more apt to support responsible gem and jewelry businesses. 



Goal #4: To create a collaborative network to find solutions to advance sustainability and responsible sourcing. 

Treasured will bring people together through major events such as an annual jewelry industry summit, networking events and fundraisers. It will host online forums and actively engage its community to create crowd sourced solutions to industry problems. This will encourage innovative means to dealing with any issues within the industry.



Goal #5: To create a means to push industry transparency and to measure and showcase the positive impact of the jewelry trade.

Treasured will create a suite of tools accessible to industry members that will support and encourage business transparency and also allow access to the documented progress of both in-house and external projects.

Treasured will produce regular reporting on the progress and success of industry initiatives, creating transparency and improving the industry’s reputation.
